Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest

It is that time of year again and we would like to challenge all of you to our Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest. It is a family and house affair! Ribbons and House Points will be awarded in the following fun categories:

Participation points will also be awarded to everyone who enters the contest!

Here are some answers to some commonly asked questions to help you get started:

  1. When do I bring my carved pumpkin to school? 
    Bring your pumpkin to school on Thursday, October 30th or first thing Friday, October 31st. Proudly display your pumpkin creation(s) outside the library area in the hallway.
     
  2. Which members of my family are allowed to carve the pumpkin?
    Because this is a family carving contest, anyone in your family (i.e. mom, dad, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather, uncle, etc.) is permitted to help or even take over the carving in its entirety.
     
  3. How many pumpkins may our family enter in the contest?
    You may enter one pumpkin per person in your family.
     
  4. When and where will the judging take place?
    The judging will take place on Friday, October 31st just outside the library at 12:00pm.
     
  5. When may I take my pumpkin home?
    Please take your pumpkin home Friday after school, after it has been judged, so you may proudly display it for your trick-or-treaters. 
     
  6. Who will be the judges? 
    Teachers, parent volunteers, and students from all four Houses will be selected to judge.
     
  7. Will I receive House points for just entering?
    Yes, House Points will be given to all participants.
