Chinese New Year Celebration | Year of the Dragon
Date: Monday, January 23rd, 2012
1:00pm: Assembly in Gym B with Mr. Burke "waking up" the sleeping lions and dragon
1:45pm: The lion dance/dragon parade begins with the lions and dragon dancing through the hallway visiting the classrooms that have hung bundles of red envelopes. When the respective classes hear the lions and dragon approaching their classrooms, we ask the students to line the hallways and cheer them on with lots of noise and clapping.
2:00pm - 3:30pm: Parents from the Meadowridge Chinese/Korean community will have stations set up in the cafeteria for PYP classes to visit. Here is a list of the activities planned:

Photo Shooting – Take picture with the God Of Wealth and the emperor
3:30pm: Stay to see some wonderful performances!
