 | Meadowridge School is the only International Baccalaureate World School to offer both the IB Primary Years Program (PYP) and Middle Years Program (MYP) in Mainland BC and one of only six schools in Canada accredited to offer both programs. In accordance with our Strategic Plan, we have also submitted a letter of intent to explore the implementation of the IB Diploma Program (DP) for Grades 11 and 12.
Meadowridge began to consider the IB program back in 2000, drawn by the the possibility of joining a community of educators around the world, all of whom aspired to provide the best education.
Accordingly, we set out to implement this program, convinced that it would help our children become better thinkers and problem solvers. We were also happy that the IB program supported our other work in academic skills, mastery of content, and in building outstanding work habits. Through the teaching of the interconnectedness of the world, the IB program promotes the idea of caring communities and personal responsibility for our world. We believe that it is the best possible program to prepare our children to take their place as leaders of the future.
