After contacting our Admissions team, you will have an account created in our online Meadowridge Apply Hub. Your login (email) and password creation link will be sent to you via email within three business days. Go to the Meadowridge Hub to complete the online application form and pay the $400 non-refundable Application Fee.

The first-round of applications are due on November 30 for Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten, and December 31 for Grades 1 through 11. Applications received after this date are considered for our second-round of decisions (with space-permitting).

After an application form for each child is submitted with payment, there are grade-specific items (see below) required in order to complete each child’s application in full. Be sure to upload all required documents.

Each school division has a checklist of items that needs to be completed in order for an applicant to be invited to their grade level assessments.

Upon receiving completed applications, including all supporting documents, selected applicants are then required to complete an assessment and interview in person (for local applicants) or through Zoom (for out-of-town applicants).

• Junior Kindergarten & Kindergarten: 60-minute observation in December.
• Grades 1 to Grade 5: 60 to 90 minute assessment in January.
• Grades 6 to Grade 11: full-day visit in January.

After the admissions assessment and interview, our Admissions Office will arrange a 20-minute Zoom interview with the parents of the shortlisted candidates.

Applicants will be contacted regarding the admissions decision shortly after the parent interview.

• Once an application is accepted, an offer letter will be issued via the Meadowridge Hub Apply Portal.
• Parents can download the offer letter and accept it by logging into the Meadowridge Hub Apply Portal.
• If the desired grade level is full, the accepted student will have the option to be placed in our wait pool.

In order for a seat to be held for an accepted student, the Enrollment Fee and Items Borrowed Deposit are required to be paid in full upon registration.

Teacher Recommendation Form: If your child is currently attending a school, a recommendation from your child’s current teacher is required.

If a teacher recommendation is not possible, we ask that a reference letter from another adult (daycare provider, extra-curricular instructor) that is not a relative be submitted. Please use the recommendation form provided in the your Meadowridge Hub Apply Portal checklist.

Report Cards: Report Cards for the current school year and, if applicable, completed Report Cards from the previous two years. Please upload a PDF version to the Meadowridge Hub Apply Portal.

Student Assessment Day: Grade 1 through Grade 5 applicants are assessed by a combination of developmental testing and an in-house assessment component to determine student’s readiness for these grades. The testing occurs in a relaxed environment and lasts from 60-90 minutes.

Teacher Recommendation Form: Teacher recommendations are required for all Grade 6 to Grade 11 applicants. A teacher recommendation form must be submitted and may be completed by your child’s Teacher, Guidance Counsellor, or Principal. Please use the recommendation form provided in the Apply Portal.

Report Cards: Report Cards are required for all Grade 6 to Grade 11 applicants. Report Cards for the current school year and completed Report Cards from the previous year are required. Please upload a PDF version to the Apply Portal.

Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT): Grade 6 to Grade 11 applicants outside of Canada/USA/UK must complete and submit their Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) scores. Applicants are required to register and take the test at their own expense. The Meadowridge SSAT Code is 4992. For more information and to register for a test date, please visit www.ssat.org.

Classroom Visit/Interview: At Meadowridge, we believe a classroom visit with peers is integral in determining the right fit. We invite the applicant in for a partial-day visit to socialize and get acquainted with the community.

Who is an International Student?
An International Student is someone who:
•  Is not a citizen or Permanent Resident (PR) of Canada
•  Requires a study permit/visa to study in Canada

English Language Proficiency

Demonstrated English proficiency is critically important for admission to Meadowridge School. All learning, with exception for our language courses, are conducted in English. Although many of our students have a mother tongue other than English, Meadowridge School's lingua franca is English. Meadowridge does not offer ESL options.

Meadowridge will, however, accept applicants where minimal language assistance is needed. Applicants requiring additional English language study and more development will be asked to apply at a later time when their English proficiency has improved.

Government Documents
If the family accepts the Offer of Enrolment, it is their responsibility to obtain the documentation for studying in Canada.

Once all fees have been paid upon registration, a Letter of Acceptance will be issued by the School. Please use this letter to apply for your study permit through your home country. The study permit must be forwarded to the Admissions Office prior to your arrival in Canada.
