7 Volunteer Positions at Meadowridge (and many more!)

Last year, over 300—363, to be exact—volunteered their time at Meadowridge.

Our volunteers included parents, alumni, alumni parents, and even family friends; people who volunteered their time generously, before, during, and after school, and even on the weekends and into the evenings. They helped out in the classroom, speaking to classes and sharing their expertise, and at sporting events, coaching and ferrying students to-and-from games; they helped out in the library, checking out books and stacking shelves, and at our events, helping to plan beautiful ceremonies and gatherings.

The opportunities for volunteerism are endless. Here are just some of the volunteer positions available. See something that interests you? Let us know! Have a talent or expertise that doesn't quite fit any of the roles? That's okay too: we'll work with you to find something.

I'd like to volunteer- sign me up!

Current Volunteer Positions

Photographers – On-call

From athletics, assemblies, guest speakers and special events, there is always something happening at Meadowridge! We need a handful of volunteers that can help us document these moments through photography. If you don't have your own camera, you can even borrow ours.

Library Help – Regular, weekly position

It takes a lot to maintain our library of ever-expanding resources. We need a small but dedicated group to help us check in/out books, re-shelve items, cover our new books, and dust the shelves.

Gardeners – Regular, weekly position during gardening season. Flexibility an asset!

With 17 planting beds in the PYP gardens and two greenhouses, there is a lot of upkeep out there. As a Garden Helper, you will help weed, prune and plant the beds, tidy the greenhouses, and assist teachers with prep/cleanup of their gardening activities. You don't need a lot of experience, but a willingness to learn (and get dirty) is required.

Open House Ambassadors – Monthly opportunities, 9am to 11am

When inquiring families arrive, our Parent Ambassadors introduce themselves, and answer questions about what it is like to be a Meadowridge family. You only need to talk about your experiences at the school, and don't need to know anything about the Admissions process. You will likely be asked about what you enjoy about the school, athletics or extra-curriculars, making friends, etc.

Professional Panel – Opportunities throughout the year

Share your professional and educational experiences with our students and Alumni:

Throughout the year, the Parent Guild supports the school through hospitality, hosting events and making treats. Watch the eGryphon or your Grade Rep's emails for opportunities, or contact to learn more.

Gala Volunteers – October & November

Organizing and collecting class baskets
Coordinating class tables
Sourcing one-of a-kind live auction experiences
