A PEEK INSIDE

Grade 9 Design Fine
Motor Skills Unit

What's the activity all about? Owing to the excessive use of computer technology, most young children do not develop their fine motor skills sufficiently which can lead to multiple developmental problems. Grade 9 students are currently working on their Fine Motor Skills unit in which they design and create a toy, game, or puzzle which will stimulate and exercise the fine motor skills of the user. Students are thoroughly taught workshop safety before using power tools. Their resourcefulness, attention to detail and fine craftsmanship will be put to the test during this module. Their products will be put on display in the library after the spring break.
