Enrichment Programs

Enrichment programs – both academic and non-academic – are excellent opportunities for students to learn more about themselves, their skill sets, and explore their interests outside of the regular classroom setting. Enrichment programs are also a great way for students to begin making connections between their interests and post-secondary planning.

Due to COVID-19, many summer program providers have shifted to online delivery.  Please use filter "Online" to search for virtual offerings.

Please note: We are highlighting programs that we have received information on. This is by no means an exhaustive list of opportunities open to high school students.

Meadowridge School does not promote any particular provider nor receive any financial interests.

Many of these enrichment programs would meet the Gold Project Requirement for Duke of Edinburgh (DoE). Please refer to DoE Program details.

Allyship - STARTS JANUARY 2022

Do the Work! Youth Forum on Allyship will explore topics in social justice as well as develop allyship and advocacy competencies among youth. This Winter Experiences Canada will deliver a series of six bi-weekly webinars and supporting online education program for 60 youth ages 14-18, as well as one group of 8-10 youth ages 19-25. Selected topics for this first-year’s program will include: Reconciliation; Cultural Racism; Mental Health; LGBTQ2+; Environmental Racism; Disability Justice, and Social Media Impacts.

The program will culminate with a 3-day National Forum on Allyship (anticipated to be in person in Winnipeg in Spring, 2022) where youth participants will have the opportunity to apply their training, to share their ideas and strategies for community action and youth engagement and to work collaboratively to produce their own webinar/podcast on youth allyship. The older cohort of youth will become youth leaders for the Forum facilitating activities and mentoring youth through their presentations.
