On Saturday, March 9, Meadowridge hosted the First Lego League (FLL) BC/Yukon Championship. Over 30 teams competed, hundreds of people attended, and over 50 Meadowridge students and parents volunteered to help run the event.
Congratulations to MDR KFC who won 1st place in the Robot Design Category, MDR Failure Management who won the Engineering Excellence Award and MDR MnM who won the Rising All-Star Award.
A big thank you to Ms. Mohoruk who coordinated the event volunteers and has been the driving force behind Robotics at our school for many years, guiding our senior students to a point where they are running all the tech for this event, coaching our FLL teams, and doing Robotics outreach in the community. Thank you to all the teachers, parents, and students who made this event a resounding success!
