Four Meadowridge Teams Excel at FLL Qualifier, Royal NPC Takes 2nd Overall

Meadowridge students competed at the FIRST LEGO League Challenge – Lower Mainland Qualifier 1 at Grandview Heights Secondary School. Meadowridge was represented by 80 Grade 4 to 8 students across 15 teams, supported by 40 dedicated high school coaches from Grades 9 to 12.

  Top results included:  
  • Royal NPC – 2nd in Robot Scores and 2nd in the Champion’s Award (2nd overall out of 25 teams)
  • Silver Sizzlers – 2nd in Innovation Project (Their innovation project was a research initiative to propose solutions to problems facing archaeologists.)
  • Circuit Breakers – 1st  in Core Values
  • Techo-Terrors – 2nd  in Core Values


Circuit Breakers, Royal NPC, Mission Jellycat, and Techo-Terrors have all qualified for the provincials, which will be held at Meadowridge on March 8. Our high school coaches were recognized for their mentorship and guidance, which has supported their teams since September.
