It’s been an incredible week and a half for Meadowridge Gryphon Athletics, with multiple teams bringing home medals and setting new records!

Senior Soccer Team – Provincial Silver Medalists Our Senior Soccer team made history last week by winning the BCSS High School Silver medal at the Provincial Championships—the highest finish ever for Meadowridge soccer! Despite challenging weather and strong competition, the team fought hard to the very end. Special congratulations to Owen J., who was named Top Goaltender of the tournament, and Philip A., selected as a Tournament All-Star! This amazing achievement reflects their dedication and teamwork.

Grade 6/7 Soccer Team – ISEA Silver Medalists Our Grade 6/7 Soccer team also had a fantastic season, winning silver at the ISEA Championships held at Holly Park. They scored victories over Urban Academy and Southpointe in the quarter and semi-finals before a hard-fought final against St. George’s. Although it ended with a narrow loss on a free kick, our players can be immensely proud of their journey and teamwork, which is a promising sign for the future of soccer at Meadowridge.

Senior Girls Volleyball – Championship Titles and Bronze Medal Our Senior Girls Volleyball team had a phenomenal run, capturing the ISA Tier 2 Championship, the Fraser North Championship title, and a bronze medal in the GVISAA Championships. Congratulations to Hailey L. (Season All-Star), Ella R. (Fraser North Tournament MVP), and Jaapje S. (GVISAA Team MVP) for their standout performances. The team’s success has earned them a spot in the Provincial Championships later this month.
