Hanging Out with Ms. Hops at Burnaby Mountain

As darkness fell over the haunted streets of Burnaby Village Museum, 70 members of the Meadowridge community slipped through the time portal to go trick-or-treating in the historic town of Burnaby Village Museum. There was a merging of mythological, fictional, and modern influences as ghosts, yetis, bullfighters, princesses, superheroes, Pokémon, and Lego people all convened to frolic under a perfect October moon. We danced with the Queen of Hearts, watched as the blacksmith forged shoes for the devil, and then escaped on cotton-candy-coloured carousel horses. As the clock struck nine, our cast of party revelers disappeared back into the void to return to the familiar world, waiting for the occasion of Halloween to beckon us back for a final performance.
