Lego for Charity: Student Initiative

Brother and sister duo Andrew Y. (Grade 6) and Annora W. (Grade 8) spearheaded Lego for Charity, an initiative which collects Lego sets to piece together and sell to support animal organizations within the community. Their mission is simple: “to improve our communities one Lego piece at a time.” Their goal is to raise $800 by the end of this year.

Meadowridge has teamed up with the duo and will be running a donation drive from March 1 to March 12. Top donors with the heaviest donations will walk away with one of the three prizes: first place gets a $55 Subway gift card, while second and third will earn $25 to spend at Freshii. All three prizes were generously donated.

Entering is simple:

  1. Put your Lego in a bag (sets do not have to be complete!) with your name on it.
  2. Drop it off at the donation bin at the front of the school from March 1 to March 12.

You can also support the duo by purchasing pre-loved Lego sets on their website (www.legoforcharity.com) and by following them on Facebook (@Lego for Charity) and Instagram (@lego_for_charity).
