
We had a very active Math and Computing Contest year with hundreds of participants across the High School. Congratulations to all the brilliant minds who conquered the Math Contest and emerged victorious! Your dedication, problem-solving expertise, and unwavering passion for numbers have propelled you to new heights.
1. Canadian Open Challenge, run by the Canadian Mathematical Society, was written by several students in October:
Joshua L. (Grade 10) earned a Certificate of Distinction
Eva L. and Lucas P. (Grade 11) earned Honours certificates.
2. American Math Competitions, run by the Mathematical Association of America.
In the AMC 12, Joel C. (Grade 11) received a Certificate of Distinction, and Aella G. (Grade 10) received a certificate for the AMC 10.
All of the competitions listed below are run by the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) at the University of Waterloo. Certificates of Distinction are awarded to all students who scored in the top 25% of all students participating worldwide, a significant achievement. The student who achieves the highest mark in the school receives a School Champion Medal
