The Meadowridge community gathered for a student-led clothing drive to support newly arrived refugee families with Journey Home Community. Two student CAS clubs, Volunteering with Refugee Individuals & Families and the Muslim Association, collected new and gently used fall and winter clothing, shoes, backpacks, and accessories.
High School students then sorted, folded, and organized 554 pounds of donations with care. On October 25, more student volunteers gave up their Pro-D Day to host a pop-up “shopping” experience for the families. They warmly welcomed families, helped them find items, and provided a supportive space with games and crafts for the children to enjoy.
Thank you to all students, staff, and families who contributed to this effort. Your generosity made a meaningful impact, providing essential items and a welcoming experience to families in need.
