Parents & Guests: Visiting for Athletics Games

Visiting the Meadowridge Campus for indoor and outdoor games

Athletics are returning this upcoming week with everything from home games, to away games, and even a couple of road tournaments for some of our high school girls volleyball. Care is being taken at Meadowridge, as well as all schools, to keep all in the community as safe as possible while recognizing the value that Athletics adds to a healthy well-rounded lifestyle.

Indoor Competitions (volleyball)

Adults are able to come indoors to watch a game but are required to do the following:

  1. Email in advance so proper seating arrangement can be made
  2. Enter the school through the front office doors in order to be scanned by our heat cameras to indicate if you have a fever.
  3. It is mandatory for all adults to give their full name and phone number, as well as negatively answer two questions
    • 1) Are you displaying any signs of new or worsening symptoms including: fever or chills, cough, loss of sense of smell or taste, difficulty breathing, sore throat, loss of appetite, extreme fatigue or tiredness, headache, body aches, nausea or vomiting and/or diarrhea?
    • 2) Have you been told by public health to self-isolate?)
  4. Wear a mask at all times while inside the school

Outdoor Competitions (soccer)

For outdoor competitions you will not be entering the school and will not be required to answer the two questions or leave your name and phone number.

There are two washrooms on the backfield next to the soccer pitch so no one at an outside event needs to go inside.

There will be tent(s) for parents and fans set-up but no chairs. Feel free to bring your own chairs if you want more seating options than the large tent that covers the bleachers.

It is appreciated if you can email to confirm attendance in advance of a match so extra tents can be added to the backfield if needed due to the weather.

Road/Off-Campus Games

It is very important if you hope to attend any road games that you contact me,, a minimum of 48 hours in advance of the match with the team and game you wish to attend.

Some schools are not allowing visitors, even parents or bus drivers, other than participating players and a coach. I will verify the situation but need some time to verify the situation at each school at the time. I expect the protocols could change over the course of the season and year.

Thank you for your understanding and compassion at this time as we all work to manage the return to Athletics.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I am also available to meet in the morning if you would like to arrange a meeting after student drop-off.
