Meadowridge School’s Theatre Arts STAR Guild inducted four new members and recognized five students for their exceptional dedication to the theatrical arts during our annual induction ceremony.
The STAR Guild, part of the Theatre Arts Education Association (TAEA), recognizes students who demonstrate sustained commitment to theatre through participation in productions, festivals, and related activities. Induction into the guild requires students to complete at least 150 hours of theatre involvement, with additional levels of recognition awarded as they continue to build their experience and expertise.
This year, Jessica H., Helaina K., Maria L., and Shivam M. were inducted as new guild members.
Several students were also recognized for reaching advanced STAR Guild milestones. Alina P., Eva H., and Zack M. earned the rank of Rising Star after accumulating more than 400 hours of theatre involvement. Felix N. achieved the rank of Shining Star with more than 700 hours of participation. James L. received the guild’s highest distinction, Guiding Star, in recognition of completing more than 1,000 hours of theatre work.
Throughout the evening, students performed their competition pieces from the STAR Festival Nationals. Many of the performances received Advanced adjudication scores, highlighting the strength and talent of Meadowridge’s theatre program. A standout performance of “I Know It’s Today” from Shrek the Musical, performed by Eva H., Lyndsay F., and Alina P., earned a perfect adjudication score.
The evening concluded with refreshments and an opportunity for families, friends, and fellow performers to celebrate the students' achievements and contributions to the performing arts community at Meadowridge.
