Meadowridge is fortunate to have space for traffic and parking. We have developed traffic flow patterns that are designed to be efficient, convenient and timely for all of the drivers who come on campus, not for individual drivers. Problems, frustrations, and concerns arise when individuals do not follow the established rules and signs. If you wish to drive on school property, you are expected to follow the rules of Meadowridge roads.
Recently, we have received emails from several drivers with concerns about other drivers as they enter school property. We have also been out observing since the Winter Break. Below are some reminders as you enter school property.
1) Upon entry to the school, please use the right lane as the arrow indicates on the photos. The left lane is reserved for buses, those with reserved parking, and emergency vehicles.
2) The left lane should not be used as a shortcut to get into the parking lot or to go past those waiting in the right lane. There is a sign indicating that righthand turns from the left lane are prohibited.
3) We have established an Elementary School Kiss N’ Go and another for Middle and High School. We still have Middle and High School families using the Elementary School Kiss N’ Go area for drop off and pick up. There is a new sidewalk along the Middle and High School Kiss N’ Go making it safe and convenient. You are expected to use the appropriate Kiss N’ Go area for your family.
We will be monitoring the entry lanes to the school property and expect drivers to follow the rules of Meadowridge roadways. Thank you to the many drivers who are driving responsibly and as directed.
