On February 27 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm we'll be hosting a screening of Screenagers: Next Chapter in our Theater for our school community. This documentary is a follow-up to the original Screenagers movie, where the Physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston addressed the impacts of screen time and explored the struggles of social media, video games, academics, and internet addiction.
In her newest documentary, Dr. Ruston explores teens' emotional wellbeing. Driven by her personal desire to be present to support her struggling teens, she works to understand the challenges they currently face in our screen-filled society. This movie weaves personal stories of emotional challenges with insights from brain researchers and psychologists who share evidence-based ways to support mental wellness among our youth. Join us to learn how we as parents and educators can empower teens to overcome mental health challenges and build emotional agility and stress resilience.
Following the movie, we will open the floor to questions and discussion with a panel of Middle and High School students who will share insights and stories.
