Checkmate! Meadowridge Chess Club Tournament
Since September, 30 students have been sharpening their skills and learning new strategies in the great game of chess. With the first term coming to a close, Mr. David Noble shares some exciting updates. First up, a big congratulations to the club’s top player, Tsz Wun W. (Grade 10), who finished first based on weekly results. In the Top Four Swiss Tournament, Dacian D. (Grade 9) took first, Jasper Y. (Grade 10) second, Tsz Wun W. (Grade 10) third and Joshua L. (Grade 8) third – all during a five-minute time control! In the club’s final Open Arena Tournament, here’s who ended up on top:
