Congratulations to Jasmine Z. and Norius K. (Grade 11) and Wilson H. and Rico X from (Grade 10) for their outstanding participation in the BC British Parliamentary Debate Provincials. This widely-used debate format involves four teams in each round—two representing the "government" and two the "opposition."
Meadowridge students demonstrated their skills in argumentation, critical thinking, and public speaking, competing against highly skilled students. The tournament covers a range of topics, including current affairs, philosophy, and ethical issues. Success at debate tournaments can lead to national and international competitions.
