Halloween Fun Night - Grade 6, 7 & 9 Information

A long standing Meadowridge tradition, Halloween Fun Night, returns tomorrow from 3:30pm to 9:30pm at school. The event is for students in Grades 6 and 7 and is organized by high school students who have been working hard to plan the Haunted House and evening activities. See below for more information for students attending and student organizers.

Grade 6 & 7 Attendee Information

Halloween Fun Night runs from after school to 9pm on Friday October 28. Please do not pick up your child(ren) any later than 9:00pm and if you need to pick them up earlier you can do so by coming to reception. An outline of the schedule is below. Students should bring their party clothes to school and can also bring their Halloween costume as well. Some of the activities before the Haunted House are games in the gym - students can change into their Halloween costumes after these activities and before the Haunted House. Dinner and snacks will be provided. Students should have their water bottle for the evening.

3:30pm to 4:00pm: Change into comfortable, school appropriate clothes or Halloween Costume

4:00pm to 4:40pm: Welcome and dinner (snacks and treats available throughout evening)

5:00pm to 6:30pm: Activities

6:30pm to 7:00pm: Change into Halloween costume and organize for Haunted House 

7:00pm to 8:50pm: Haunted House, Activities, Movies

9:00pm: Pick-up

 

Grade 9 Student Organizer Information

Halloween Fun Night runs from after school to 9pm on Friday October 28. The Grade 9s are the class creating the Haunted House for the Grade 6 and 7 students. Not all Grade 9s are involved, this message is for those that are. You can expect to pick up your Grade 9 no later than 9:30pm. They should bring their change of clothes to school on Friday, this may be comfortable clothes or their costume for their part in the haunted house. They should also bring any props or materials they need for their part of the Haunted House. Dinner and snacks will be provided.

To help cover costs for this fundraising event for Covenant House, a $10 event fee will be invoiced to the family account of participating Grade 9 students. Students should have their water bottle for the evening. 

3:30pm to 4:00pm: Change into comfortable, school-appropriate clothes or Haunted House costume

4:00pm to 6:30pm: Set-up Haunted House 

6:30pm: Dinner

7:00pm to 8:50pm: Haunted House tours 

9:00pm to 9:30pm: Take down and clean up

9:30pm: Pick-up
