School closures for inclement weather are posted on our website, our Facebook page, and communicated with NEWS 1130, CKNW, and CBC radio. We will also send an email to all parents. We try to provide as much notice as possible, aiming for communication to be completed by no later than 6:15am. Where possible, we will communicate closures the day before.
Lynch Bus Lines is responsible for informing families of any changes to their service. In the event of inclement weather, bus service may be interrupted. The best way to stay informed of any changes to your child(ren)’s bus route is to sign up for the Lynch Bus Lines text service so that specific alerts, such as delays, cancellations or adjustments (i.e. Snow Route in effect) are sent directly to your mobile. If your child(ren) ride the bus, and you have not registered for the text service, we encourage you to by completing the following form and forwarding it on to Lynch Bus Lines.
Our process for determining closures involves an assessment of road conditions, weather forecasts, and a site evaluation. If your individual situation does not allow for safe travel to school, please stay home. Your safety, and the safety of your children, remains our priority.
