This past Saturday, three of Meadowridge's senior robotics teams, MDR Epsilon, MDR Genesis, and MDR Entradox, competed at the first FTC provincial qualifier at LA Matheson Secondary in Surrey.
MDR Genesis earned the Connect Award for their strong outreach efforts, including connecting internationally with a team from Korea and providing valuable coaching to Meadowridge First Lego League (FLL) teams. This prestigious award qualified them to compete at the upcoming provincials in February, hosted by St. Margaret’s School in Victoria.
MDR Epsilon had the top-performing Meadowridge robot during the qualifying robot rounds and was selected as a finalist alliance member. The team finished as the third-place alliance overall. The team also received the Control Award for outstanding coding expertise, showcasing its technical strength.
In January, MDR Epsilon and MDR Entradox will compete in the next provincial qualifier event with the other five Meadowridge robotics teams.
