Seven Middle and High School students took part in this year’s VISTA Theatre Festival, hosted by Crofton House School. They performed Franz Kafka Cancels His Cell Phone Plan by Kirk Shimano—a student-directed, modern absurdist play that cleverly reimagines Kafka’s The Castle, The Trial, and The Metamorphosis in the context of today’s digital world.
Meadowridge’s ensemble earned two awards: “Best Use of Voice” for Lucas L. and “Best Special Effects & Costumes” for the group’s inventive design and visual storytelling.

The piece will be performed again at the High School assembly on June 9 and as part of the STAR Theatre Arts Guild Induction Evening on June 10.
