Meadowridge Students Shine at the University of Victoria Debate Training Tournament
Over the weekend, The Meadowridge Debate Club ferried to the University of Victoria to participate in the Debate Training Tournament, an event aimed to get new debaters up and running for the upcoming season. A first for our school, our students carried themselves admirably: Isabel K. (Grade 9) and Rayan R. (Grade 9) finished second in a challenging field of nearly 40 experienced debaters. They also placed in the top five for individual achievement in their division. Congratulations to our students, and a big thanks to student coaches Nicole S. (Grade 12) and Morgan L. (Grade 12) who helped mentor our Junior Team!
