Meadowridge Students Take Part in Postcards for Peace
In the week leading up to Remembrance Day, several students at Meadowridge completed Postcards for Peace, a Veterans Affairs Canada initiative that encourages students to reflect upon peace, remembrance, and freedom, and upon those who sacrificed and continue to sacrifice much to protect fundamental human rights both in Canada and abroad.
The cards were then hand-delivered to individuals directly, to the Legion, or to Maple Ridge Seniors Village and Chartwell Willow. Recently the students received two messages of gratitude for taking the time to write cards to the elderly in our community.
