Senior Boys Basketball Team Heading to the Provincials

The resiliency and toughness of our team and team leaders have allowed us to face pressure, adversity, and successfully rise to the occasion time in and time out. We have battled through sickness, weather conditions, tournament cancellations (as I know many other schools have) never allowing ourselves to make excuses, and always striving to overcome any obstacles thrown our way. Our SR leadership has had a huge impact on this. Balancing our rigorous IB curriculum and also committing to practices and games, has taught us how to prioritize, time manage, and make necessary sacrifices to balance workload and be successful in the classroom and on the basketball court.

In-game, our team leader Arjun, has had a huge impact on making the big plays and scoring when needed to close out games. The defensive work from our PF Zhiar has allowed us to hold strong teams to low-scoring games and limit second-chance opportunities, while our SR leadership from Marcus has allowed us to play in control, play with poise, and remain organized. As a team we have battled hard together, overcome adversity together, and grown together. As we make Basketball Provincials for the first time in school history, we recognize that the growth of our school programs, player expectations, team unity, and captain leadership has acted as a major driving force. We look forward to attending Basketball Provincials, which we hope to be the first of many for our school and programs.
