The Natural World Inspires Poetry in Grade 6
Since returning to school after Spring Break, the Grade 6 class has been studying Poetry and how poets use the natural world around them—and their senses—to inspire their poetry.
As part of this sensory experience, students engaged in planting, harvesting, and enjoying produce from a garden bed. This hands-on activity also served as a valuable opportunity for social-emotional learning.
Thank you to Ms. Banack for collaborating with us and teaching us gardening skills as well as coordinating this experiential learning opportunity for our class.
