Championships and Congratulations

Badminton Season Wrap-Up

This year's badminton team included both boys and girls in Grades 6 through 12. Our players practice and play from October to May, preparing for tournaments or just playing for fun. Our 7 o'clock morning practices started up in Terms 1 and 2, followed by after school practices every Tuesday and Thursday. In the tournament season (April and May) our team played in all three categories of play: Bantam, Juniors and Seniors in the GVISAA and public-school leagues.

Our team would like to thank the parents and school staff for their support in transportation, TOCs, and tournaments! A special thanks to Shuttlesports, who provided specific skills training during April and May practices. Most importantly, we would like to thank our badminton players for their enthusiasm, commitment, and hard work in both practices and tournaments throughout the year. As coaches, we are especially proud of our team for how much they loved the sport and how well they represented Meadowridge. Overall, our team had a wonderful season of playing badminton!
