Grade 8 Girls Basketball Team Brings Home Fourth

After two hard-fought games, the Grade 8 Girls Basketball team finished off the season in third place. In the finals, the Girls faced-off against a strong Khalsa School team, and though they made a late fourth-quarter run to outscore their opponents 11-2, they didn't have enough time to complete the comeback. Next, they played Fraser Academy, carrying a close game the whole way through, but their opponents took triumph in the end.

By day's end, the girls took home fourth place.

Congratulations to our team of dedicated players. A special congratulations to Paige M., who walked away with the game MVP award for the final game, and to the whole team for their attitude and sportsmanship all year. It was noticed by all, and the team was called a "class act" by an opposing coach. As a result, the team took home the Most Sportsmanlike Award.
